The Way Back Home - why we love it.

Well, I have to say that I am an enormous Oliver Jeffers fan. We've
been reading 'The Way Back Home' lately.

As per usual, it is a beautiful book, the illustrations are so simple
and well designed they just draw you in to the story. The story of a
boy who gets stuck in the moon and meets a martian who is also stuck
on the moon is full of humour and humanity. The two solve the
problem, but then the boy forgets about his friend for a moment (which
we have all done at one time or another), he quickly goes back. They
both go home.

The understated friendship is solidified by a mysterious package
delivered to the boys door on a wordless page at the end. Another
masterful story by Jeffers in my opinion.
